Default Where to start???

Hi All,

We are considering a move to Toronto from the UK and have no idea where to start. My husband has experience as a warehouse manager in the distribution sector for Tesco's (8 years) but has recently been made redundant. He was also a restaurant manager for Pizza Hut before (12 years), we have the required 67 points (as long as a job is lined up) and have the required funds, however we are unsure as to the best way to go about this.

I have family around the Toronto area (my grandma is in Scarborough) and regularly visit, we understand to a certain extent what everyday life is like in the area and we are pretty sure that this would be the right move for us. We are a family of four (two children, 4 and 1) and possibly my dad would move with us, he would also be looking for work as a Property Manager.

We would love to hear/ appreciate any advice or experiences in order for us to have a clearer idea of the process. I hope I have included the necessary information, if not please feel free to ask any questions.

Natalie

A good place to start is the Wiki section on the blue bar above, fourth from the left. You can find almost everything you need to know in there. Good luck.

Hi, and welcome to BE.

As Simon has mentioned, you need to start with the Wiki.

But one pointer is that you mention having enough points to go over on a Skilled Worker visa 'as long as a job is lined up', but presumably you are aware that you'd need to be out there working on a Temp Work Permit first? So that would be the visa to look at.

Best of luck.
