Canada is a huge country, but really there's only three things to consider
1 - Do you like biblical plagues of bugs? (altantic coast)
2 - Do you like rain? (pacific coast)
3 - Do you like bleak frozen tundra? (everywhere else)
Which one you prefer will tell you which part of the country to start thinking about. Edmonton fits with (3) btw.

Bottom line though is that with so many LMOs being rejected it would probably make sense to get the visa side of things sorted first, and then worry about where to live. No point in focussing on one area if you've got no chance of a job offer/LMO for there.

Also, if you don't have the money for a visit, then you should think about how much emigrating actually costs. It's really not cheap and, without a job lined up, a very big risk. If you aren't planning on emigrating until you've got a job, then it doesn't matter what we say as it will depend on where your job offer is.

Pretty much any city in Canada will fit the requirements in your first post, so how can anyone make a recommendation? Things that will help us help you are specifics about the things you'd like to do, the kind of lifestyle you want to live, what your approximate budget might be for housing etc.

Ok yup seen that now. Looks like a decent thread, wants to live in Alburda, does extreme Ironing, and is called Phil.

I agree with the OP as I recently posted similar threads and received plenty of sarcastic smart a*se comments, I even stated that only people with genuine advice should reply to my thread. I to have been offered several jobs in Canada and as I don't know enough about the country or its provinces I was hoping that people who had been in a similar position would reply, luckily several sent me PM with much appreciated info and their experiences.
My conclusion is that many of the people on these forums who reply to just about every thread are d*cks with to much time on their hands, sarcasm and being patronizing are hardly in the spirit of a forum such as this one.
