Develop an unwarranted sense of superiority over those who live elsewhere in Canada.

Make a special trip to see Dundas Square, stand there for ten seconds, develop sudden boredom and decide to leave.

milliemillie, how long is a piece of string? Why are you moving there? Do you want to go? Are you possibly going with parents?

Yes I am going with my parents, and now from everyone else's response...im guessing that theres a lot to do there and that was kind of a stupid question to ask...

Its only a stupid question if you ask it twice.

Toronto is the 4th? largest city in North America, and is considered to be "world class", especially by Canadians that live there, although no one is particularly sure what "world class" means. I take it to mean it has good shopping, arts, theater, museums, major league sports teams, universities, nightlife etc etc. Others would argue its only a short flight from NY for a truly world class city experience.

I like Toronto to visit though, there's plenty to do there. Playing golf outdoors in January is probably not one of those things:)

In your situation, there are no stupid questions :).

I think your best bet is to pop to the nearest book store and buy a travel guide to Toronto and/or Canada. Maybe Lonely Planet or Time Out. This should help.

Also on top of this, search the internet for things you enjoy, hobbies, and things you'd like to try. This should throw up a few ideas too.

One thing to make your parents aware of is that the West Coast of Canada is much better ;)

There are a few specifically British things that are hard to do. There's not much cricket, for example, and very few Morris dancers, but most things one would actually want to do are available though the bands and sports, for example, will be different ones.
