What Company Credit Report Should We take??
Which company should we use to take a credit report to Canada?
Experian (credit check) or Equifax?
We know we have to take one, but wondered if anyone can give us advice as to which one to take.

We heard that equifax is used more in Canada, but we are members of Experian.

I tend to agree with Auld Yin but in any circumstances where it will be useful I would bring the Equifax report. Equifax and Transunion are the two best known companies for consumer reorts. I was told by a banker (no idea how true this is) that in western Canada Equifax is the one all the banks use.

I believe either is acceptable but we were advised that the Equifax format will be more familiar in Canada, so we went with that.

We got both. Nobody was interested in either, only what we did in Canada.

We used Equifax, but I'm not convinced it was taken particularly seriously.

For mortgage purposes, we have seen both used but we always sense the mortgage brokers are happier with Equifax than Experian.
