There are. If only city planners hadn't stuck their noses in and insisted on a trillion tons of blue glass. When I lived in coal harbour the landlord told me there where by-laws about the colour of curtains/blinds you could have - wtf?

I'm not a big fan of most modern archtecture and there is def a sameyness to a lot of the new stuff (although newer buildings are way more livable usually from my experience). I did read that the city is reviewing view cones and allowing higher buildings in some areas. Also there is a definate trend in buildings under construction away from the overdone blue grass. Vancouver Turn and Jameson come to mind.....

Fab thread dboy, you are dead handy with a camera. I had a hunt around for some pics too, but only have the inside of the Fairmont and Deep Cove...

I've been following this thread for a bit now and really enjoying your great pics on here dboy. Any chance you could put them all in a zip somewhere? It's a great collection.

If you right click on each of the images when viewed as the larger size you can save them yourself if you so wished.

Here also is a link to a thread with a whole pile of Vancouver pictures. Note in the first post the original poster also posts links to other threads of Vancouver pictures.
