There are. If only city planners hadn't stuck their noses in and insisted on a trillion tons of blue glass. When I lived in coal harbour the landlord told me there where by-laws about the colour of curtains/blinds you could have - wtf?

I'm not a big fan of most modern archtecture and there is def a sameyness to a lot of the new stuff (although newer buildings are way more livable usually from my experience). I did read that the city is reviewing view cones and allowing higher buildings in some areas. Also there is a definate trend in buildings under construction away from the overdone blue grass. Vancouver Turn and Jameson come to mind.....
