Hi all. daft questin, but i have been trawling websites looking at apartments to rent in Nova Scotia. Do they haveUPVC double glazing in Canada or not? most of the places i have looked at, do not look like it. I would have thought with a country that has bad winters, this would be a necessity.

They do have UPVC double glazing but the quality compared to the UK seems awful in many houses I visit. The window and door locks don't seem too great either.

We have excellent double glazing in our apartment, not that we need it as it doesn't get very cold here.

You probably won't find it called UPVC. Rather look for "vinyl windows" as the local terminology.
