UPVC Double Glazing

Hi all. daft questin, but i have been trawling websites looking at apartments to rent in Nova Scotia. Do they haveUPVC double glazing in Canada or not? most of the places i have looked at, do not look like it. I would have thought with a country that has bad winters, this would be a necessity.

They do have UPVC double glazing but the quality compared to the UK seems awful in many houses I visit. The window and door locks don't seem too great either.

We have excellent double glazing in our apartment, not that we need it as it doesn't get very cold here.

Yes we do have UVPC double glazing. The ones in my house are also argon filled, low UV etc. I don't recall seeing anywhere that wasn't double glazed. Maybe in old buildings. Peter Koeler Windows has a huge plant in Debert, N.S. and manufactures some of the best quality ones in North America.

Re: UPVC Double Glazing

You probably won't find it called UPVC. Rather look for "vinyl windows" as the local terminology.

They tend not to do the typical British wide white framed type double glazing, but here you see a lot of double or even triple glazed units set into either metal or wooden frames.
