Sky Sports 1 , 12.45 start . C`Mon Bris

I can stream sky sports 1 easily enough - 3.45 for me. But there's an England game at pretty much the same time.
Sometimes I watch the football on the telly at the same time as a rugby stream on the laptop, but it's often not that satisfying.
In fact sometimes I switch my vision back to the footie and then wonder why someone doesn't catch the ball.

I haven't seen any but I haven't been using it for that long. I saw some online discussions (from a few months ago) regarding the Hola Unblocker add-on injecting ads during general browsing but apparently it was easy to turn that off. However, I also saw reports that they have since stopped doing that anyway after receiving user complaints.

I always thought Apple TV was an actual TV but it sounds similar to the Android thing.
To set up Apple TV, just plug the power cord into the wall and connect Apple TV to your high-definition TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately). Getting started couldn’t be simpler — just hold your iPhone or iPad with Bluetooth turned on near Apple TV and it will learn about your home network and receive your account settings automatically.3 Since everything streams wirelessly to Apple TV using your Wi-Fi network, that’s all you need to do. Except make popcorn.
Does the Android thing work off wi-fi too? Or does it have it's own gizmo or whatever to receive stuff?
If there are two TVs presumably one needs two boxes or is there a wireless version as well?
There are times when my stepson is watching streams off Vodly or Primewire, I might be watching live ITV and my wife is streaming 'housewives' on Bravo or something. Others in the house will be watching old fashioned TV,
perhaps something on CTV. Is all this possible on Android without any additional fees? We do it without any bandwidth issues. Are there bandwidth issues or other similar problems) with Android
Does anything need changing according to what you want to watch - for example, Stealthy required one to select USA to view something from CBS but it had to be reset to UK to watch BBC, whereas MediaHint needs no adjusting.
One of the nice things about TSN & Rodgers is that on Saturdays I can plonk myself down in front of one TV and there may be 3 or 4 matches on simultaneously. I can focus on one and flick over to see scores from the others. Ditto on Champions League matchdays.
Does Android receive TSN/Rodgers TV and TV quality? They have subscriptions for on-line access. Does Android count as on line and it's free or is there a sub involved?
Football and rugby streams are much more reliable than they used to be but can still be not as good quality as if they were on TV. Our Internet speeds are very good so it's more likely to be a streaming source problem, but I still get the odd stutter or fuzziness.
Does that happen with Android?

I'm thinking we should have a thread that deals with specific alternatives but no discussion, just a summary. Perhaps to become a sticky or in the wiki.

So, does this mean that it's no good without an iGadget?

We have just the one wifi android set up with our main TV in the sitting room , bought for a couple of hundred with no additional fees , how it would work with multiple boxes I cannot say .
Am just enjoying the access to BT Sports and Sky , a welcome relief from hockey and rounders

Can you quickly change from one to another - to check a score for example - as I described?

Maybe not heard of it. I can't say I've seen it mentioned before and I just did a search in the Canada section and all I found was a Spanish Hola.
Also, I think some were happy with what they got on free trials and then paid up and just don't want to risk changing what works.
Doubtless others find it hard to believe there are reliable free options.
MediaHint is still working great for me and still free.
But i just added Hola, although I have disabled it just in case both of them together mess something up.
It's nice to have something in reserve.
Of course, not everything works for everyone. I never got Expat Shield to work, nor Stealthy while others did. Some are having MediaHint problems with various workarounds being required.

I guess Firefox is still ok? I am now trying Hola and it seems to work well, the mrs just managed a whole episode of Casualty on i player without issue and watched episode on of a new drama called Amber which was good.
