Default Tv in Canada

Hi All
I just wondering which cable or satellite networks show many programmes that we are used to in the UK. I no its not that important as we arn't basing our move over a tv programme,
Can you get Home and Away and Neighbours.
Dr Who, Casualty and Torchwood
Also Bones and Cold Case

I couldnt care less about missing these as long as I can watch Liverpool FC once in a while, I'll be happy. It's the mrs I liked to find out for as she is the going to be the one who stuck at home at first with the 4 kids when we move out there.

Thanks All
Chris

Doctor Who and Torchwood are on CBC a few months behind.

The American TV shows are on and up to date.

Plenty of footie if you have Setanta.

A couple of other channels have things like Frost or Morse reruns and those old Michael Palin prgs.

We have all you mention other than the Aussie ones.

Channels like TVO, Showcase and BBC Canada as well as all the American/Canadian channels do well from a Brit tv stance.

Sports channels like Fox and as mentioned before Setanta North America give you footie, rugby etc.

There's also the internet for t.v. (UKTV, UK Nova etc) but you will probably be happy with the choices here - cable ot Satellite.

Can you get Home and Away and Neighbours? No.
Dr Who, Casualty and Torchwood? DW & T Yes, Casualty No.
Also Bones and Cold Case? Of course - masses of US stuff everywhere... (some some )

We get BBC Canada & BBC Kids as part of our cable package which are OK (although behind UK and limited in output - why have so much good tv and only show such a small proportion of it on your own channel?) and BBC Kids becomes BBCK in the evening when a lot of comedy and some drama is shown.

The tv is only ever on this house when the OH is back from his travels, and the odd evening that I have off. The kids are always doing stuff, over at friends and reading. We don't even think about TV anymore apart from early mornings at the weekend, and then there are two good kids channels. Seriously, if you embrace the change of lifestyle you may well find that your TV watching habits change seriously, and this comes from a recovering soap addict lol!

KCTS are showing Spooks but I nearly missed it because it has been retitled MI-5. They are currently showing episodes from 2003 so hopefully it will eventually catch up.

With the States history of racial strife they really couldn't have left as Spooks, could they.
