Not me. But Shirtback is bilingual so it was easier just to quote from french wikipedia, with proper accents and all, rather bothering to translate it.

It's about an old tree....in Bayeux.

I know this. I was more worried about your English typos. Very out of character.

There was a "corse" of course, and an "off" which was off. My excuse is that I use a tablet. What's yours?

Give over, you two. I'm sure you'd like each other.

Maybe you've assimilated a little too much
But it wasn't sunny where i am today, it was -3 and cloudy, and windy

I am the opposite, I am always having to figure out what things are in inches, F, pounds, etc.... I grew up south of the border and went to school there.

I've been here 10 years now, and still haven't fully mastered the metric system.

I am okay with temps, I know anything over 27C is warm and I don't like it, and anything under 10C is a bit cold, and 0 is freezing, but mentally I need to convert to F to really understand it.

Same with weight, I have no clue how heavy for example 25kg is, I'd need to convert to pounds to understand it. Luckily stores sell meat and produce on the signs by the pound, so food shopping is easy.

I have no clue how much 20cm is for example, gotta convert to inches.

I doubt I'll ever fully master metric, the other system is too rooted into my brain.

I could, and can, get my head around either system (although I prefer metric, and measure my weight in kilos) what I cannot bear is this mix and match mentality of quoting the price of chicken per pound, and then the weight on the packet in kilos...it happens all time....I am going outside now, I have to start shoveling the 'at least' 20 cms of snow that has built up on my drive...or 8 and a half inches, in old money!
