thanks for all your advice guys, (MR) will be going to sit the test (as we paid for it) and got the LMO transfered to another company with the help of isis (can rightly say that we will NEVER be passing on friendly words reference the trucking company) and fingers crossed!

Also (MRS) contacted my future employer to speak to the LMO office and the said it can take upto 15 working days for the LMO to be approved. Funnily enough they phoned my employer on the same day as it was sent, to mention it needed to be completed on the 'higher skilled' application which was nice, they didnt have to do that really.

In between asking family for a small bit of help with the rent, and letting the landlord in on our situation might pay off so to speak it might go ok, but we are also going to speak to ISIS in our meeting with them on Monday.

So all-in-all we should be back on track soon, but yet again with all of your help! It is uplifting to think that wherever you are in the world there are people who are there who willingly have the kindness to give you a nudge in the right direction, and it is greatly appreciated.

We will keep you updated , and try to give others help in situations, thank you all again

No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted

I hope it all works out for you. Good luck.

we are still awaiting the LMO, with baited breath, and hopefully by the end of next week we have a positive decision, then to find something else to challenge us!!

no not yet, we got the call on Thursday explaining that the LMO was refused due to there not being sufficient information on the request, future employer re-submitted the paperwork with ALL the information again on Friday.

We will hopefully know by Tuesday what the situation is

All in all slightly disappointing but it was the first time the employer has submitted for an LMO as well as ourselves! So the learning curve has expanded yet again lol:D

Unfortunately we cannot put who the employer was, bad-mouthing is not our forte as much as we want to haha

As far as yourself trawl this forum and the others out there, Research! Try your best to Network like your life depends on it and if possible come to where your intending to settle and pre-meet with possible employers.

Also be aware that you will have to sit the class 1 test again as well as the theory/airbrakes written tests (we were not aware of this).

LMO refused, now back to square 1, and right before Christmas, thankyou Canada, and we have been told many times, that The country welcomes skill-sets of other countries.

It does, but only *specific* skillsets! If you were a pipe fitter you wouldn't even need a LMO to get in the country.......

Sorry to hear this though, I hope you can find a Plan C.

Best of luck.

So sorry to hear this. :( What are you going to do now? Is there anything the board can help you with?
