Can anyone help.

Do you need a specific kind of travel insurance if you are about to start a new life in canada on a TWP?

We are going to Alberta so will be eligible for medical cover under the Alberta Health Programme, I just wasn't sure whether additional travel insurance was required.

If Alberta covers you from day one then you don't need additional cover.
IF not you might choose supplementary insurance to over that period

Your employer might offer top up insurance that covers dental , drugs, optical etc.
