Their meat, vegetables, are much better here, and the taste is lovely,( love getting all the misshaped veggies here that have been banned in the uk) will miss them if i have to return to uk My daughter has told me she finds it hard getting good meat now in the uk unless you go to proper butchers that cost an arm and a leg. Fish I still have a problem with but will keep experimenting with, prawns and the sockeye salmon is beautiful

I'm in Cochrane, AB. A couple of British girls have recently opened a shop selling UK goods - Cadburys chocolate, English sausages, Bisto gravy granules, Angel Delight, Robinsons squash, in fact just about all the things us Brits miss!

Yep, the shop in Cochrane does pickled onion Monster Much too!!!

Actually, just thought of something else I get visitors to bring from the UK - Syndol for migraines!!! Can't get it here and it's the only thing that seems to do it for me when I get one. Also, you can't get paracetamol out here so maybe that if you use it.

The name for Paracetamol is Acetaminophene here, readily available, so no need to panic on that one

As noted by Piff Poff, paracetamol is acetaminophene which is Tylenol.

Syndol appears to be acetaminophene with 10mg of codeine added, as a substitute try Tylenol 2 it is acetaminophene with 15mg of codeine added.

You cannot find Tylenol 2 on the shelves in pharmacies it's kept behind the counter, if you ask the pharmacist they will sell you some without a prescription.

Brilliant! Thanks for that. I've made a note as won't need to get any for a while. I asked the inlaws to bring some Syndol over for me when they came and I think they cleared out the whole of Surrey's supplies as I've got enough to last an eternity!!!

Does anyone out there already know whether you can get Roquefort cheese or something similar?

Don't know if I can survive without that!
