Is their any doubt the lunatics are running the asylum??
A Toronto judge has ordered a Christmas tree out of a downtown provincial courthouse lobby, saying it's not an appropriate symbol to non-Christians.
I can think of many 'inappropriate' symbols, gestures, words that may be displayed or directed at non-Christians, but a sodding Christmas tree??
Another gem from one of 'Millers Muppets' I fear.

This one seems to be half true,
"The small artificial plant, which was decorated in lights, blue bunting and ornaments, was moved to a side corridor near some administrative offices."
but many of these are just BS.

Aren't the courts supposed to be separate from the church/ religions or something anyway....not that there is a lot of Christianity left about christmas now anyway, and its highly questionable how "christian" the tree is as a symbol.

You know what it is? It's political correctness, that's what it is, political correctness gawn mad. They'd welcome it if it was a same-sex Christmas tree.

A Christmas tree is not even a Christian symbol! And Christmas itself is almost completely secular for most people these days.
I was singing at the Knox Carol fest in a lovely church, and at the end the mc got up and wished everyone happy holidays.
I was wondering if the C word was even banned form church now, when thankfully we were also wished a very Happy Christmas!

There are numerous theories surrounding Christmas Tree lore on the internet including German Christians, the founder of the Protestant religion, and Saint Boniface, an English monk, plus I have nodoubt many others. So in reality, who knows, you can post your 'favourite theory', but it's just that, one theory among many.

"A spokesman for the Ministry of the Attorney General said there is no ministry policy when it comes to such situations, and that local judges are free to make decisions pertaining to their own administrations."
Maybe Justice Cohen just thought it was tacky. I would support that decision. I mean, blue bunting? Cringe....

Anyone know Latin for 'What I personally believe in enlightens me'
Personally I think the Tree looks nice in the corner, and thats all that matters, don't claim to know it's origins or really care.
