Temp Worker to PR - Health Coverage in BC
#1
Hi all
Sorry if this has been answered before but I did a search and couldn't find the answer. If you go from a temporary work visa to a permanent resident in BC does the 3 month waiting period (to be eligible for medical coverage) apply again?
Thanks for any replies

Nope, the 3month is for new residents only. Once you get PR you fax the documents to MSP right away and you will receive a CareCard with no expiry date.

Same for me, I had no break in coverage. My MSP Number didn't change either, the just expiry date was removed
