BTW I was the most unorganized teacher I have ever met.... much to the despair of my admin. However, in working with street kids, kids just out of jail and gangbangers my freewheeling, flexible approach meant more success for these kids than the school board had seen in years.

That may well be so. Sorry I realize I had a rant, but I didn't like the snobbery that went with judging other people as conformists doing mcjobs who are somehow less worthy than other creative 'freewheelers' such as yourself. Maybe those people simply don't define themselves by what they do for a living like so-called non-conformists.
And not snobbery - I was just reacting to the "incompetent" label ascribed to those who aren't organized! So it's Auld what-is-faces fault!
