Quite.

People should be made aware of these things before they go traipsing across the globe, it's a long way to go to end up walking around commando.

All we used to buy was Canadian strong cheddar, in fact the shelves were stocked high with Canadian cheddar at Tesco's.
I can only find nice cheddar in a few places here.

Bras and matching underwear. All the Canadian stores seem to think that no-one is bigger than a D cup. It's a pet peeve of mine, but I console myself with splurges on Figleaves.com and then sending the stuff to my parents in bulk, who then mail me a package of used underwear.
Count me in on the Old Job front too. Mine sucks

As for sausage rolls.....my mother in law, who has lived in Canada since the mid 60's has done an exhaustive search and declares to any one who will listen that President's Choice (Superstore) own brand frozen sausage rolls are the closest you will find to 'proper' english ones.....They are pretty good...

I'm intrigued, really, how can you go wrong?! Some elastic, some material, varying degrees of fanciness....it's hardly a major feat of engineering. Perhaps I'll set up my own bra business *off to check out self employed visas*
Yep, I demand a Wiki on the subject of Canadian bras. This could be a deal breaker for some people, along with hair straighteners and car stuff I don't understand.

Costco
There are quite a few microbreweries around the Lower Mainland. There must be more than Kokanee around where you are.
Nelson has one, for sure, though Kootenay Pass might be a bit daunting after a skinfull.

Since you can't bring bacon, I'd stock up on:
bras
brabantia bin liners
bedding
books
...seems Canada is short on all things beginning with "b"
