Step-Children??
Has anyone successfully emigrated into Canada with step-children??
The reason I ask is the info below that was seen after following a link posted in the truckers forum. (Taken from page 5 here)
We have been looking at Canada for over 4 years now and have spent countless hours reading-up and yet have never seen this info before!

Under the PNP Program the issues related to the spouse and also the children can be major issues. The fact that work restrictions are imposed on the spouse because of the NOC, does not sit well with most New Canadians and the trucking fleets employing them.
It can go as far as a province, like Alberta, which does not allow public education to the step-children of the applicant. It will only recognize the biological children of the applicant and not the spouse.

Re: Step-Children??
Many thanks, Dingbat.
It would appear that the two documents contradict each other somewhat but the one you linked to seems to make more sense and is more reasonable.

It won't make any difference - provided you qualify for whichever visa you are applying for and the dependent kids accompany you and your spouse.
