Hi all,
I have been sponsored by my wife in canada and it is around 6 months since my application has been sent to the concerned embassy. My online status shows my file is in progress. My wife is currently 7 months pregnant in canada.
If I pass the information about my wife pregnancy to the concerned embassy will they consider my application earlier and speed up the process.
Views from any immigration related autorities are experienced people.
Thanks
Robert

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do to speed it up really. It takes as long as it takes. Luckily for you your wife is in Canada so as long as she has the baby in Canada it will be born a Canadian Citizen and you won't have to add the baby to the application, or indeed if you are a Canadian Citizen then it doesn't matter where the baby is born. Your concern I presume is health care expenses for your wife as not being a PR she will have no provincial health coverage. Unfortunately I'm not sure what you can do if you don't already have private health insurance that covers her through work for example. Other than contacting any local hospital / doctor / help group etc to see if there are any special case scenarios you will just have to wait for your wife to get her PR status and it will take as long as it takes.
