Best place to look is www.cic.gc.ca they have all the information you will need, timeline change all the time, but would imagine 14+ Months.

Takes time,

Ian

Hi,
Thnx for the information. Is there any impending change in the points system by the authorities. I heard that they are going to raise the points for qualification.
Thanx

If you are seriously considering emigrating to Canada, May I suggest you start doing your research by checking the CIC website, and doing a search through the various threads in the Canada lifestyle and Canada immigration forums.

As for the points system, there is always a chance that that will happen, but you need to check and see if you meet the requisite critera and then start preparing all the documentation, trust me its a long process, you need to be proacive and you need to do some intensive research if you are going to prepare all the documentation yourself without the benefit of an Agent.

If you are unpreared to do this, then an Agent like Jim, or Andrew, amongst others is your best bet.

No offense meant, but just the very fact that you are asking for which documents are required means that you are not researching the subject in the depth that it is required.

Godd luck otherwise, and prepare for a very long wait.

First heard that about a year ago Personally I dont think anyone really knows.
If it goes up it goes up, its not something the applicant has any control over, so why even worry at this stage.

The sooner you apply the more chance you will avoid being affected by any increase, but in the mean time work on improving french skills or whatever so you have a plan B to raise your points total in case the points do go up while your application is in process
