Default Sping is Here

What are you all doing as spring approaches?

At last the Snow has gone and as usual the sun beats down here in Sunny Kamloops. I decided it was time to look on the web for some new trails for the Wife, I and over energetic Jack Russell to walk. As I searched through my favorites for the site I used a lot last year it occurred to me that I should share it on here. It may not be the best but I have found some pretty good hikes on there and for any-one new in an area any walk is a good walk.

http://www.trailpeak.com/

People at work have started to talk about golfing and are thinking about new golf bags for the season that starts in just two or three weeks. I really must practice a bit more this year - although I did win the highest score in a match last year

Not to forget the mountain bikes in the shed - I want to cycle across the Grasslands at the back of us before the rattle snakes wake up - we went across them last year - cycle where you want turn where you want - just wear plenty of Sun Screen. lol I also remember going down Rose Hill down hill course with Rich007 and scraped a whole load of skin off my legs.

Then as April comes and it really starts to warm up it will be off to lay on the beaches by one of the many lakes and fire the BBQ up when I get home. I am also hoping that this is the year I will catch my first lake trout to BBQ rather than getting the meat from the shops.

So I ask again - what are you all thinking of or preparing for??

I'm hoping that, if we get sustained warm weather, I might be able to wash the cars and see out of the windows.

"Sping" as you put it, generally arrives in Newfoundland about June. Before that we have several more weeks of snow followed by an indeterminate amount of rain, drizzle and fog. Still, it's a wet kind of cold.

Oh it's not all bad. It's just that Spring isn't really (Eastern) Newfoundland's best season. Summer is great, Fall usually good and Winter, well that's just something you have to embrace if you move to Canada generally.

Summer looks like this:

or this:

Which makes it worthwhile. (That and Mrs AX of course )

Ok Butch,

I have been a bit busy recently and not checked into the site. To save me some time searching - what car classes as a gay car?

Talking about Scousers - maybe they should set up a separate area for Brits that are in Liverpool so they can keep in touch as well
