Hi Kurt and welcome to the forum.
I have no idea about the spiders I'm afraid - but yes, they definitely get spiders in Canada! Just not sure which types.
But do you already have a visa? If so, what type and when are you planning on heading out there?

So you've got quite a while to worry about it then if you've not got a visa yet, don't panic! But hopefully it's not something to concern yourself with, I'm sure somebody that lives in SK will answer your post shortly and let you know.
If you haven't discovered it already, there is a youth forum on here for teenagers which may be useful to discover how others your age have coped with the move.
Good luck.
Here you go, just Googled 'spiders Saskatchewan' for you (it wasn't so difficult ;-)) and this was the first page that came up..............http://esask.uregina.ca/entry/spiders.html

Yes, I live in Saskatchewan, but I can't understand what he is saying. My granddaughter sends me texts on the phone, but they are intelligible!!

So glad it's not just me...........took me 10 mins to read his posts!! I really cannot understand 'text speak' - why not just type properly as it only takes a few extra seconds?!?
Oooo I'm a miserable old cow!!

And I would suggest to your mum that if she's prepared to change her plans because of a spider, perhaps she's not ready to uproot her life and move countries at all? No offence but how does she think she'll cope with everything else if she can't even cope with the idea of spiders?!?
I'd be more worried about your dad being away for 2 weeks at a time and 6 months of freezing cold weather and snow if I were her!
P.S. Don't forget it's only 8am in SK and people are only just waking up there! So give them a chance to reply.

I don't know whether you're an adult or a teenager, (I suspect the latter), but yes there are spiders in Saskatchewan and probably some are venomous. There are also rattlesnakes, also venomous. The spiders are probably in most regions of the country, as are snakes. If these conditions are of concern to you then you will have a problem seeing anything worthwhile during your visit, unless you walk backwards. Get a life. It is no big deal. If you see one then walk away from it. I guess Australia is off your list of countries for emigration.

ok ok a little bit harsh you people are getting now its just in this country you don't need to worry about getting a towel before a shower (for example) and a venomous spider dropping out of it. and she is ok with everything as in my dad going away and the winters but it isnt like oh what a small thing when you have never come across maybe being bitten at night by a spider and having a ulser on your skin and maybe needing to go to the hospital. b.t.w snakes do not worry us. i like them lol

This page doesn't mention black widows:
http://esask.uregina.ca/entry/spiders.html
This one says they live in Southern Saskatchewan but are 'very timid':
