Default The skill sets that are in high demand

Those of you who are living and working in Canada, could you please tell me few skill sets that are in high demand? The skills I am interested are not for immigration purpose, but once you are already in Canada as a PR holder.

Hi there, it very much depends on where you are going. If you Google something like 'Alberta Labour Shortage' you will get some idea of those skills in demand in Alberta e.g anything to do with Construction and all aspects of Retail. I don't imagine for a second that Nova Scotia has the same demands though.
Google where it is you want to settle and with the amount of Government Statistical reports floating about there should be plenty of info for you. Don't think you can go much wrong with construction associated work, sales, trucker and not forgetting lumberjack

Thanks for your input. I am thinking about moving to Quebec City in a year or two if Quebec accepts me as a skilled worker. I am in IT field right now, but do not mind working in other fields if good job is available. If it is hard to find a job in Quebec City, I might have to move to Montreal instead.
