Single parent moving to Canada?

Can anyone give me some information on what i could expect if I moved to Canada with a young child? And with very very little money.....

Moving countries is not cheap and finding a job in Canada isn't necessarily easy. You would need a chunk of savings to get you here and to set you up, particularly if you didn't have a job before you got here.
Also, you'd need to have a close look at how you might actually be eligible for entry - the wiki explains a lot.

Does anyone remember (and can find) the threads with that mum who was here with a partner and things went a bit wrong and she tried to make it work staying on as a single parent?

Are you Canadian or have residency and with family support in Canada? If so it might work. If not, this would be a very bad idea in my view

If you're just looking to get out of the UK, for whatever reason, just make sure you have the go-ahead and paperwork to legally be able to take your child.
