Default Shipping your own container?

Hi, has anyone bought their own 20ft container and then used a shipping company to just collect and deliver it from the UK to Canada? If so, what company did you use? Thanks.

There are a couple of threads on the subject, though it's not a common thing to do. I remember there was one member who was having their own container delivered to their piece of property in BC, but can't remember their name. (They were bringing over items for a self-build house or similar, if I recall correctly).

Where in Canada are you planning to move to?

Thanks for those links, we're planning on moving to Terrace, BC so ideally I'd like to get a container shipped to Prince Rupert and then it's only a couple of hours overland to Terrace.
If it went to Vancouver, it would then be a much longer road or rail journey up to Terrace and it'll probably cost a lot more as well.
