Did the 12 month limit to drive temporarily without registering come from the provincial authorities (sorry, can't remember which province you are moving to)?

I'm not being nitpicky for the sake of it, just don't want you to run into any surprises - I do think you'll take a huge hit on insuring it .
Thanks SB. It was from one of the government webpages RIC, CBSA or CIC or something. We are possibly going to not bother right now and just buy a car over there (4x4) that can seat at least 4 children and 2 or 3 adults - hence the delica. We have been told that insuring a RHD car is increasingly difficult. Once I can get a better understanding of the system over there I shall bring over my Volvo C303 as well That was built in 1976 though so is nearly as old as me
