Hey Jackie, Basically she kept me up to date pretty well considering the timelines.We could have been out here in about 8 months if our property had sold sooner.We came over on PNP but because of the house sale we decided to wait and take our medicals etc back in the UK.We landed with PM status already,this eventually took just under a year.
I am suprised she is slow getting in touch with you however I know she has a lot of clients and takes trips to other countries with her occupation.I actually emailed a short while ago to thank her for what she did for us and I have still not had any reply...seems strange really.Have you tried ringing her ? What is PM status? Did you mean to say PR status?

If you do not mind me asking, what is your profession? The reason I ask is that I was thinking about contacting Shadi as well (and happy to pay $5000 for everything if I can get PR faster under PNP), but heard that when it comes to finding IT jobs, she is not very successful. Thanks.

spot on Judy, I am a carpenter......by god you have a good memory... Not so sure about I.T. as I think Shadi mostly deals with the manual trades. Worth finding out though.

My husband and I used Shadi last year to gain entry into Canada. I loved her she was honest and really helpful.

We found our own job with a company but she did all the paperwork for the company as they were not prepared to do it. She helped them with all the form filling and sending although she did lots of extra work at no extra charge she only ever charged us what she had originally quoted. Also a good friend of ours used Shadi and ended up with the same company as us.
You must remember its all very well asking a company to do the PNP paper work here in Kelowna they are just not interested, but tell them you have someone to do it for them its a whole different story.
We sent a fax or and email to every company in our field in the yellow pages and had 3 job offers in as many days. They all wanted us but none were prepared to do the paperwork it just made a huge difference when we said we had someone to help them.;

We had our PR with in 9 months the longest part was applying for the PNP which took around 3 months. We sent our pr paper work off in 22 July 07 and recieved our medicals 2 weeks later had them done in Sep and PR in Nov.Landed in Jan08 our friend was a few weeks behind but very quick all the same.

I too will have to look for work once we get over to canada, I work in a primary school as a learning Mentor which translates as a guidance counsellor or something along those lines, over in Canada you need degrees and Masters to to that sort of Job which I don't have!! so I will have to re invent my selt me thinks!! I would still like to stay in education though, even if it means becoming a classroom assistant................I wonder if that job needs a degree qualification too.........mmmm

I am afraid we are coming home my husband just cannot settle. We have found things very different here to home and not all good. We have found here in BC none of our qualifications have been accepted not even my daughters GCSEs, they are making her redo even year 10 to graduate and she is nearly 18. My youngest is years ahead of her class and I am talking years. Work here is very different . I always say its like England in the 70s. Where trades men start late and finish early and go for lunch in between then finish at 2pm on a friday and back to the office.for more beer.

Sorry to disappoint you but our biggest regret is moving here and we shall be moving back as soon as we finish our house.

Maybe its just where he works and where you are? We are on VI and my husbands job is nothing like that. He still leaves for work at 6.30 works till 4.30 with half hour lunch. Although the boss is very laid back and they have none of the limited days off a year that others report either.

yes I am sure it is just where we are and I wouldn't like to put any one off.

We used Shadi after we realised the Immigration Agency we were using in England was hopless. We contacted a prospective employer and he recommended her to do our paperwork. My husband a carpenter then got two job offers via Shadi and within six weeks our Provincial Nominee Paperwork was approved and 4 months later we have Permanent Residency. We did not send any money until we got a job offer and we understood we would have got most of our money back if we had not been approved.

Shadi knows the Companies that meet the criteria of British Columbia to be able to nominate employees under this programme and knows the PNP process well. Yes we did have to pay, but as my husband is hopeless at paperwork and we did have spare cash after selling our house and after the horrific experience of the English Immigration agency, then we felt it was money well spent.

We are using Shadi and are about the same way in immigration process as you Jackie and live in midlands. She was busy lately, but she has always replied to our emails and messages. I am sure that she has got a perfect explanation. We have always found her very helpful and easy to talk to. We have now applied for PR and waiting to see what happens, but with regards to her I cannot praise her enough so far. I hope this helps.
