Thanks. Did you have to have your finger prints taken? This is the confusing parts and also the part that slows the process down.

Yeah. I imagine you'd be fairly unique at Canada post as a British Expat! So of you wont get the offer until security clearance is complete? Then presumably keep job hunting / working in current job until you hear. Or do you have something else with a deadline that makes it more urgent?
Can't really offer any further advice other than 'it shouldn't be a problem'.

Federal Gov't has the following levels of security clearances.

"There are three levels of security clearance as defined by the GSP: Confidential (Level I), Secret (Level II) and Top Secret (Level III). The level of security clearance required is determined by the need for access to classified information or assets in the performance of duties associated with an individual's employment. Level I and II security clearances involve checking CSIS databanks. Level III security clearances require a full field investigation, which involves checking CSIS records; interviewing friends, neighbours and employers; consulting with local police; and, possibly interviewing the applicant.

There is also enhanced reliability which falls between Level 1 and II

It appears the level of clearance required for this position is low so hopefully not to much of a wait!
