The Fiddlers Courtyard in Bridgeland is (or was) owned by a Scottish guy...they have Tennents on tap and it still tastes just as shitey after making the 5000mile journey across the Atlantic

The Drum and Monkey on 10th is the Sevco5088 supporters club, its not very good though

I know what you mean! Canada has some really great craft beers. One of my favorites is from Russell BC Angry Wee Scotch Ale .I work for a company in Winnipeg in the summer and there isnt any scottish bars there not that I know of.There is an Irish club in Erin St been a couple times .Next summer Im planning on working in AB so may have time to check these other pubs eh.

Hi Claire - I'm from Motherwell and my husband is from Airdrie! We're living in the far NW (in Nolan Hill). It's been a heck of a long time since I've heard another Scottish accent

I know this is going off the socialising point..!! I'm from Clydebank originally, moved out to Ontario couple of months back in search for something different...! Not much doin' where I am... seriously lookin at heading to Calgary.. ( wife and 9 yr old in tow)Question ..? Is it that expensive on the outskirts for rental... lookin to buy eventually.. if jobs etc kick in... any help / advice would be grateful.. thnx

Hi Floyd ,have a look at Airdrie | Local House Rentals in Alberta | Kijiji Classifieds
I set the search on Airdire which is just north of Calgary but you can change the search for youself.Maybe look at Remax too they do rentals also.I live in Winnipeg and I know Calgary is more expensive.Good luck.
