Hiya does anyone know if there is a satellite dish that would pick up UK TV. My neightbours neighbour is from Iraq and he has three satellite dishes and they all pick up tv in Iraq?
If anyone knows that would be great

No, you can't get UK satellite TV (Sky) in Canada, no matter how many, or how big a dish you might have.

No, simple physics dictates that it isn't possible, just like simple physics dictates that he can't pick up Iraq satellite TV direct. Now if there is another satellite rebroadcasting it that's another thing, but for UK television (read Sky) they only point over western Europe and nowhere else rebroadcasts.

The only way to get UK channels is via the internet. The satellites carrying the UK channels aren't reachable from Canada. You can get BBC World here though.

and BBC Canada and BBC Kids. Also you will find that channels like TVO and Showcase will carry various UK shows. Use the net to view UK TV if you need a fix.
