Road Tax
Hi,
Sorry bit of a dum question, I am sure I should really know this. When buying a car in Canada is there a car/road tax like we have in the UK? Does it depend on the size of the engine of the vehichle that you are buying?

You have to pay each year to liicense your car. We pay $76 per year I think for our van here in Ontario. You get a sticker for hte license plate to put in the tip right corner. If your car is beyond a certain age, you have to have a smog test in order to renew your cars' license.

No extra road tax here in BC we just pay our car insurance in the lower mainland you do have to have older cars checked for smog ect..
