Default Renting furniture upon arrival in Vancouver while waiting for container?

Hi,

has anybody rented furniture while waiting for their stuff to arrive?

if so, have you done so in Vancouver? (who, where, how much?)

and what did you think of it?

Probably more cost effective to buy something used cheap off craigslist or kijiji and then resell it when you are done.

The only furniture rental places I can think of are those terrible rent to own places....

I agree - we just sold a ton of stuff on there and no one gives you much. We had a solid oak headboard that cost $400 on for 50 and someone offered 10!

You will definatley find some bargains on there.

I wondered about going thos route when we we planning coming over ... we found a furnished place in the end.

There was some, but not much, choice in Calgary ... looks like Vancouver has much more available! http://www.google.ca/search?sourceid...tals+vancouver

Actually, I don't know how much you are bringing over of course, but I think many people find they need more furniture in Canada anyway, so with some judicious purchasing you might find something that will tide you over, but still be useful once your gear arrives?

Stuff like new mattresses for instance?
