But if everyone in this world could do everything many would be out of a job, I do peoples tax returns which for me are easy but for my clients would be very hard to get right and also I know what I can claim for and they don't. My point is that some (I would say a lot) people hate filling out forms and do not have the confidence to do them correctly and if that is the case then they need help.

we have and are still using Ian Goldman. He helped us prepare our PR papers which we have not yet submitted as we are in Canada waiting for our work permit...again Ian did all the work for us. It's true you can do it all yourself but we just wanted to make sure all the "t's were crossed and I's dotted). He is a very honest guy and has been straight with us from the beginning....he told us from the start that without a job offer we are looking at four years plus to get into canada. He is very professional and not a money grabber like some of them that I have known people to use.
Hope this helps.

My hubby got a job offer in June...so after we sold the house etc we decided to come over and wait for the HR approval as we had given up our jobs etc and had nothing to stay for. It has been a bit of a gamble as the work permit still hasn't come through. Ian was very good though and told us that as we were in Canada, once we get the HR approval we just need to drive to Niagara, cross the border into the US and then come back into canada where they will issue the work permit.
They normally take about 8-10 weeks to process HR applications, so we are just going into week 7, so hopefully it won't be too long.

We went to york exhibition yesterday and we signed up for a consultation with Rudy Kischer costing £25 but from reading all these posts im unsure now... Rudy quoted us £6,000 to get 4 or 5 interviews set up for my partner and get us a family of 4 into BC. My partner is a bricklayer/construction worker who maybe have a possible job offer and go thru PNP but we asked Rudy for advice in-case it doesnt work out, also i would like my parents to come with me.

Have a look on the job bank website for jobs in your husband's field. Send emails to companies to see if his skills are transferable, you might be surprised. Also the Canadian Yellow Pages on-line was useful for contacts. Be prepared to send a lot of emails and resumes, it does take time and patience, but if you are determined enough you should be able to land a job. Also taking a recce trip is usually successful as you can line up job interviews and look at areas to live. We decided to do this as we felt the cost of going on a trip there to see what it was like was far more rewardable than paying an immigration consultant. But each to their own
Good luck with whatever you decide to do
Mel
