Default R.E. Nurse shortage

I have considerable sympathy for all the members who are finding it difficult to obtain work in Canada as a nurse or other professional career.
I am a registered nurse from the U.K I have visited Canada 6 times since 2000 and met a lovely Canadian lady whom I married this year.
I left U.K to hopefully work in Canada (Ontario) but have met obstacle after obstacle since arriving and several interviews later, I appreciate that Canadian citizens and residents should have preference in the Canadian job market and rightly so!
But as for the nursing shortage?????
I now have to lend money from my daughter to return to U.K. to resume work and hopefully my wife can sponsor me from outside Canada.
Signed very depressed U.K nurse.
