I am planning to land in Toronto in few months time and need help. Please let me know, which are the cheap and best temporary accommodation options in Toronto? How could a temporary accommodation be booked while you are still in your home country? Are there any specific ones that most people of this forum choose to live for short stay?

Short term rentals are nearly- but not totally- impossible. We did manage to get a 6-month let but it was a lot of searching.

If it's just yourself motels could be an option- they do weekly/ monthly deals for itinerant workers- but they can be rough at the edges.

Thanks for your replies. I am single. For long term I am planning to live in a family homestay and I agree with you that booking hotel/motel online is a good option for temporary accommodation.

Does any of you have an idea that how easy/difficult it is to find a family homestay in Toronto?
