I'm applying for PR card. When I visited the website of CIC I saw it saying that all the required documentation has to be submitted at once. But RCMP has emailed me and told me that they will send the police clearance record directly to CIC. Is it ok or should I ask them to mail it to me?

it's perfectly fine for the RCMP to send your results directly to CIC. they do the same for permanent residence applicants. but i must warn you that it will take 4/5 weeks atleast so be patient. sending the results to you will only delay the process.
