I wanted to move to Winnipeg but my ex OH would not hear of it - Winters and further from the UK.
It was a choice of NB or NS due to slower pace of life and job opportunities for me. Also cost of living vs my salary is better here than in UK or points west.
Moncton due to getting job offer near by and its the largest city in NB

Nova Scotia seems to be getting a lot of flack recently on here so I was wondering if people could share which province they live in and why?
I live in NS because a job opportunity brought us here and we liked it. We didn't think any further of other provinces. The job didn't happen but we're still here

I didn't really choose NS. NS chose me.
I also remember my Nan telling me it was one of the most beautiful places she'd ever visited. Since selling-up-shop and retiring at 60 she circumnavigated the globe 3 and 1/2 times, visiting and living places we dare not even visit these days (e.g. Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Australia etc), so I really felt the gravity of her experiences in her words.
Other than that, I just can't live in a City any more. No desire to see concrete buildings, cars and parking lots everywhere I look. Much prefer the trees, animals and other general colours that edge-of-the-wilderness nature offers.
Also, a Canadian once told me, "if you ever get the urge to move to west coast Canada, you may as well move to Liverpool instead... It's better." Seemed like a strange remark but I thought it best to live as far away from there as possible, just in case.

BC or Alberta - but only because they were a little familiar.
The better job prospect was in Calgary - or I should clarify - there was a better prospect of a job in Calgary.
I like it well enough - I love my views and have a nice life here. I am loving these summery months. In some moments of the day/week/year (usually about April) I would move to Victoria or the Island(s) in a heartbeat, but without the rain. I don't miss rain.
I really wish to visit the Eastern provinces and coastline and I'm sure we'll get there one year - probably in a few years, without children in tow.

I moved to Wales for the mountains, interesting people and the love of all things Canadian, then realised that it wasn't in Canada, my OH is a right joker!
So next stop NB, possibly NS, possibly PEI, but probably anywhere where I can, or the OH, get a job!

Yes, I can see your point Alan...the problem is my husband really wants to return to Canada, he's never got the hang of here at all. Also I would have to move 'somewhere' because I love my house, but I moved here believing I'd never have a child, and then our son showed up. The Primary school was good, but the senior schools here suck, and the nearest decent school is 100kms. I think I'm also frankly bored, France is great to be a full time Mummy in or to retire to but I 'need' more, and I can't even say what I need more of! I feel excited by the move (bit scared too) but it seems ages since I've felt a happy anticipation. My husband has gone now, and the next time I will see him will be in Fredericton

*And probably no interesting people or jobs either

I only ask because I absolutely love the place!
