Which Province and Why?
Nova Scotia seems to be getting a lot of flack recently on here so I was wondering if people could share which province they live in and why?
I live in NS because a job opportunity brought us here and we liked it. We didn't think any further of other provinces. The job didn't happen but we're still here  |
Re: Which Province and Why?
BC cos the OH made me.
I like it, luckily for him. |
Re: Which Province and Why?
NS usually only gets flack from those who have never lived here and feel the only way to elevate their own province is to knock others down. How very British indeed pfffffftttttt

Originally Quebec (work)
then GTA ontario (work again) the Saskatchewan (work funny that) of all the places the GTA is the on I'd never consider going back to |
Re: Which Province and Why?
We are in Alberta - in Calgary.
Our love of the Rockies brought us here. Calgary was the obvious choice because it's a city so hubby can work in IT and we get the Rockies 40 minutes away from where we live. I can see them from my house. Bliss. :) |
Re: Which Province and Why?

Re: Which Province and Why?
3rd time that I have lived in Canada. Did 3.7 years in Calgary, tried hard to make it work but to me it felt like Milton Keynes with mountains. I have travelled extensively throughout Canada for over 20 years, Whitehorse to Dildo.
Always returned to visions of NS, worked several times in Halifax and never wanted to leave. Living in NS now and consider it home. Have no wish to see anything other than other areas of the Maritimes. For what its worth, I have lived in 3 countries and visited 92 others, everybody has their opinion. One mans prison is another mans paradise, Calgary was certainly my prison. |

Alberta for us.
The scenery, the mountains are only a couple of hours away, beautiful lakes nearby to where we live and the all important job offer. :) |
Re: Which Province and Why?
Nova Scotia is the UK, only with higher unemployment, less opportunities, far more expensive to travel anywhere decent, boring landscape and scenery, and too many trees. Granted its full of English people but you can get that in England.
