You can buy (at least in victoria) the "real" cadbury milk chocolate, but usually only at specialty shops and its expensive. What I do is when Im visiting europe especially the UK, I buy as much cadbury nutbars as I can carry on, then freeze them. They freeze very well, and last a long time.

Just make sure you read the label if you are getting them elsewhere than the UK. I unfortunately bought some cadbury nutbars in the amsterdam duty free (didnt read the label) till I got home and found they were from singapore. They tasted terrible.......(but I still ate them......)

Proper chocolate is available anywhere in Canada but you lot don't seem to like it.

However if Lindt is one of you like here's what's available at London Drugs.

38 different Lindt chocolate bars.

Green and Blacks is owned by Cadbury's

The closest thing to proper English chocolate in Canada that I've found is Purdy's

So by these responses, it sounds like good quality chocolate (swiss, belgium style - though not that French stuff Biiiink likes) is available in Calgary - which is good for me.

However, if you like the 'English' version of the big brands then that is both hard to find and expensive. This it what most British people are complaining about when they say the chocolate in Canada isn't very good. Personally, I'm not fussed.

Thanks all of you for clearing this up for me. I'm goving over to land next month, I'll have to check out the chocolate selection myself then - yum yum... mounth watering already.
