My sister paid for express air on 11th November. It should have arrived the following week (latest), and it arrived on 11th January.

Address was fine, not sure if the problem was with Parcelforce or Purelator...

Did you read that the UK Post office got a couple of countries mixed up? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4160235.stm

That reminds me of an article I once read about a lawyer sending a letter down the street in London to another office - he couldn't remember the full postcode so just put "such and such street, London, W1".

The letter ended up somewhere in the West Indies. They couldn't match it up with a local address, assumed it was wrongly delivered and forwarded it to New London, Wisconsin.

After many, many months it eventually turned back up in London, England at the office down the street!

well i've just picked up from our postie a parcel we sent to Cornwall, Ontario at the biggining of December.

Canadian customs refused it as we had only put our return address on it and not our names...

well apparently checking canada post customs.. you are allowed to send Gifts of 60 dollars or less.. so one gift may be 60.. you could send a whole bunch..but they should be in different boxes.. sent separate.. so sending a computer.. is probably worth more then 60 bucks and thats why he paid duty.

I sent all kinds of stuff from az to toronto and it arrived, it just took 2 to 3 weeks in some cases.. which makes no sense.

My sister mailed two parcels - just children's toys etc. - from Tonbridge at the beginning of December - neither of them have arrived yet. I also ordered a Italian charm on ebay. The seller lives in Manchester and she says she mailed it on November 28th and I believe her. This has not arrived either.

Also, my sister mailed some children's gifts from Vancouver to Somerset at the end of November. These have not arrived.

What is going on? I have never before had things go astray in the mail. We intend to complain both ends - but I know what they will say - the Canada Post will blame Royal Mail and vice versa.
Funny you should say that. On 14th Dec I ordered some books from Ontario, being sent to UK. As yet nothing!

Getting impatient now
Jane
