I think for our first 3 months back here, it rained every single day....not the most uplifting experience. Having returned back, we know for sure it's not where we want to spend the rest of our lives....
We moved to Edinburgh after five years in England, it was big mistake, we only stuck it less than a year and moved back to England.

What we should have done was move to Canada - isn't hindsight really amazing, 100% accurate all the time!

Like I said earlier in this thread, investigate all of the provinces, you don't have to follow the sheep to Toronto and Vancouver ....

Hi there

We applied exactly one year to the week before you, unfortunately we still havn't heard a dickie bird

Our immigration consultant projected a wait of approx 15 months so maybe we'll hear something by the end of this year but who knows

Mind you, I wish I had a quid for every time in the last year that someone has asked me "Have you heard anything yet?" At least that way i'd be rich by the time I get there!!
Oh well, off to wait some more.......& more.......& more

We have just submitted our application on Friday 23rd July 2004 and we have no idea how long it will take just to get an acknowledgement back.

We have spent months preparing this information and saving.... We just want to go, howvever I hear stories of over 2 years etc to get accepted which I find terrible.

Now that our application has finally been sent, I am more nervous than ever.

Comments appreciated

If you visit either:-

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/britai...daimmigration/

or

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UKtoCanada/

you will find posting from others who have recently received their medicals.

I am in contact with nine other poor souls from July 03 and the score so far is:-

Waiting for medicals: 8
Received medicals: 1
Taking medication: 8

Although we are aware of one or two other lucky people from July 03 who have received their medical requests and waiver of interviews, it has to be said that the progress made by CHC seems painfully slow, and it's worse when you are that close to receiving the brown envelope.
