Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the plug adaptor needed to Quebec City is? Is it 2 pin?

It's the same as everywhere else in Canada and the US. Standard 110 volt two pin or three if there is a ground.

When i went over with my hair dryer, straighteners and an adaptor, they didn't work, is that something to do with the wattage?

Actually it's more to do with the voltage. 110 in north America as opposed to 220 in the UK.

Thanks. That's what I kinda meant in my own girlie way Voltage!

On the plus side, I get to buy new ones!!

Hi thanks. I know my straighteners will work and have checked TVs etc and they are all dual voltage it's literally just buying the adaptors. So 2 pin should be fine?

If the item has 3 wires (i.e. it is a round lead) in the UK plug, it needs a 3 pin Canadian plug.

If it is a flat lead (2 wires), then you only need 2 pins.
