Plug adaptors
Hi all, I need some help re plug adaptors and will appreciate some advice. To avoid myself buying new chargers for stuff like mobile phone, laptop etc when I come over, I think it’ll be a good idea to invest in a couple of plug adaptors instead. I found this on the internet and would appreciate if anybody could tell me if this is the right thing to use into a Canadian wall socket.

You probably know this already but, in case someone else is reading and doesn't...
Just make sure that, whatever you plug into them, has a dual voltage rating or range, something like:
220/240v 50 hz / 110v 60hz.
Or 100-240v 50/60hz.

Yeah, I did think about that. However, one thing I cant find the voltage info on is my tablet. Do you know if iPads bought in the UK can be used in Canada without a converter? I have taken it to a few other contries before and didnt have any problem.

Re: Plug adaptors
The wall charger I have here (lightning connector) is rated 100-240v 50/60hz. There's a regulator inside it so it converts down to a fixed voltage of 5v 1amp. If you have a mains to USB charger - check the small print for something similar.
One other factoid to consider, is that some USB connections (e.g. on a laptop) can not source 1 amp so are not capable of charging an iPad.
