Default PLANES , TRAINS OR AUTOMOBILES

My wife and I are flying into Toronto next week on a house / school finding trip as ive seccured a job in Mississauga.
Were staying at the Waterside Inn , Mississauga . We would like to visit Toronto and also visit friends in Oakville. Ive been offered a hire car, but i not really planning on driving etc. Can I get around by using the trains and how far away are they.

1. How far is the train from the hotel ?,
2. Can I easily visit the city and Oakville by train from the hotel area ?.

Thanks
Jason.

Put the hotel's address in the trip planner.

How can you do a house finding trip without a car.?

I would recommend renting a car, it could be -10 next week, no fun standing at a bus stop in -20 wind chill.

Ok you could do it then if someone else is driving. But again getting to and from a GO station, on a bus, in Mississauga won't be a bunch of laughs.

Had a look at the map and the hotel is 10-15 mins walking distance to Port CRedit GO station. As long as you get picked up at the Oakville end by the house hunters, and you have a plan to get from the airport and back you be golden.

I used to live in that hotel. I commuted to Toronto by walking to the GO station. The trains run until 00:43, late enough for work nights. If I missed the last one I'd negotiate a flat rate with a cab driver.
