Default Permanent Residency Card

As I understand it, when we have landed and therefore commenced our permanent residency our PR cards will be posted to us at our Canadian address. The only problem is we will only be staying for say 10 days and then returning to the UK, We need to land before our visa date expires in november. We will then arrive for good next march.
In short my questions are; can the PR cards be posted to a hotel?, can they be posted to a post office/civic institution?, can they posted to the UK? and how long do they normally take to arrive from the date of landing?.
Many thanks

Normally takes a few months for them to send a new card Im afraid.
No Po boxes, No addresses outside of canada.

If there is someone you trust in canada to forward the cards, then use that address. If not you can land in November, but dont give an address.

Return in March, at which point you can fill out your new address on line. You have 6 months to give an address before you would need to reapply for the card (not the PR status!)

If you have a UK or other visa waiver status passport you should be able to get back into Canada in March without the PR card, its really just for airline staff to assess peoples status. before boarding. UK passports and others have visa waiver status, so you are allowed to board the plane. Once at canadian immigration they should be able to check the long IMM form or check the system for your status if you have the appropriate documents.

We intend to do the same.
Does that mean the PR card can be sent to any province in Canada when you land, no matter where you land????
At this moment in time we are in contact with two couples in Canada who we could get our PR cards sent to. One in BC and one in Alberta, but we intend to land somewhere in Ontario. Would they allow it to be sent to another province??? The other thing is, when we applied we put on our application BC as our intended destination, but we now have no intention of living there for the first few years and have decided to make Ontario our intended destination. I haven't told the CHC cos I don't think there bothered about that detail, but what bothers me is that if we ever get our landing documents I presume it will say BC and I wouldn't want to get turned away when trying to land in Ontario.

As long as QC is not involved it doesnt matter.

If you have CSQ (Quebec provincial nomination) then you have to go to Quebec, and if you dont AFAIK you cant land in Quebec, other than that they could not care less.
