Permanent Residence Card

Permanent Residence Card
Hi all,
Hubby is landing in Ottawa on 19th Nov (thank goodness for that!) and I have a quick question regarding the PR card. As he is only staying in the country for a week to sit some tests for the police service ( keep your fingers crossed everyone - a lot is riding on this!!) can he use our friends address in Calgary to get his PR card sent to even tho' he isn't going to be visiting her? She would then forward it on to him back in the UK. We will then be going to Canada permanently as a family with me and the kids landing in Jan 09.
Sorry if it's a silly question but wasn't sure if the PR could be sent to a different province
