We had enough cash in our account to cover the loss until it went through "proper" channels, we didn't want to get into the "we'll put the money in now, then when the fraud deparment refunds you we'll take our money back", but it was offered.
My bank moved money from our savings into our current to cover a cheque (I hadnt realised account was so low!) and then rang us to tll us they had done it so the cheque didnt bounce!
