We went to Calgary yesterday to replace a guitar for my husband. His had been stolen from our container when we moved. It has took us this long to get some extra money together!!
For 1 day only, there was 25% off everything and he saved nearly 400 dollars so that was a nice surprise for us!!
As for sales though, I cant usually be bothered.
Our son got a good deal on a new snowboerd etc. too.

Yup went out and got some new boots (not fashion ones unfortunately) but those big wallopping rated down to minus 90 type ones for $60 less than they should have been

Got a meat slicer and the whisk (which wasn't bought for me as a Xmas pressie!) - um thats about it I think aside from the post Christmas groceries.

I used to have to design those 3 words 20 different ways over xmas for different adverts in the Van Courier. Did make me chuckle when i saw them.

....I've managed to avoid that particular joy since being over here - but I feel your pain based on many years of "reinventing the wheel" back in the UK.
