Which part of Canada is worst and why?

I dunno that there's less crime. It depends which crimes you're concerned with and how you count them. Meth manufacturing sale and consumption are primarily rural activities, so is the production of marijuana. Most rural dwellers have a gun which is very likely not licensed. Drunk driving is routine in the country (as is littering, when the bottle's empty it goes out the truck window). I suspect burglary is less common in the country partly because everyone has a fierce unlicensed dog but assault within the family is commonplace and I expect this extends to sexual assault. Then there's the improper use of chemical pesticides, poaching, unlicensed animal rendering and the exploitation of non-unionised workers.
It's all a bit Grapes of Wrath out here.

I think there are some normal people out there in rural land. They may carry guns, and eat cutesy deer and render the odd possum/racoon but they wwill certainly help their neighbours shovel / plow the drive and other such community spirit, which you often do not see in the urban areas.

Never a truer word pilgrims...and long may the country lifestyle continue, even if it has the odd wart!

Bazz If Vancouver is so bad why are u there? You have a choice of moving, I must say i have never been anywhere else in Canada but vancouver. It is very outgoing compared to what i've heard about the other provinces.
I am going close to where i am working.

Anywhere within 100 KM of Toronto; more concrete and sunken highways than I can tolerate. Words like Deathstar, Tartarus and Hogtown come to mind when I'm visiting. Should be broken up and sold for scrap.

Edmonton- all the charm of Milton Keynes with the culture of Basildon
"T'rono"- It's London but with equally bad traffic, no culture, history and has worse weather
Calgary works for me, but then I like plaid and big trucks
