Thanks! Yes, very excited but also a bit scared...let's call it nervous apprehension . Wish I had someone to share the emotions with, I'm trying not to talk about the emotional side of things cos I know my Mum is quietly dreading next Tuesday...

Can you not rent out the house? You will need every penny that you can get, so if you can rent it out for a bit, you might be better off in the long run...

Hi Adele....I don't want to freak you out, but I also used Excess Baggage door to door. The day before my stuff arrived the company they had sub-contracted out to phoned me to say "We don't actually deliver to where you are."
Had to drive to Calgary to pick my stuff up from customs! Not fun!! On the plus side Excess baggage gave me a part refund and reimbursed me for the gas money spent driving to and from Calgary!
I'm sure you'll be fine.......but if I were you I'd find out who they will be sub-contracting out to. Then phone that company and make sure they will deliver to your door.

Oh dear! Sounds like a nightmare, it's not exactly down the road! Hadn't they told you that before when you gave them your Grande Prairie address?

I'll be in Vancouver so very near the port - they'd better deliver, but if not I'll get a taxi or something...fingers crossed!
